Keycloak multitenancy for Schlieger
Challenge
Schlieger is one of the leading players in the photovoltaics and heat pump market and has an extensive partner network. Hundreds of external users work on the platform, and every partner needs its own separate space. Keycloak is the standard for identity management, but it does not offer multitenancy as a ready-made feature. We had to design how to build it in the Schlieger group's environment so that it works for the long term, not as a one-off workaround.
Solution
For Radixal we delivered everything from design and consulting to custom changes to Keycloak:
- multitenancy architecture for the supplier network,
- custom Keycloak extensions where standard configuration is not enough,
- a methodology for how multitenancy works in their environment, so the client's team can run and extend it,
- integration with Google Workspace.
Technology
Result
The identities of hundreds of users across the supplier network run on one managed platform. The client got not only the implementation but also the methodology. They know why it works and can keep building on it. Identity and access on Keycloak is one of our strongest disciplines.
