Challenge

SharePoint across a large organisation cannot be run by hand. Creating folders, uploading documents, metadata and permissions are repetitive operations that call for automation. And because these are company documents, strict security requirements apply.

Solution

A REST API on top of Microsoft Graph that automates SharePoint operations:

• folders, file uploads, metadata and permissions through one API,
• authentication via Azure AD.

SharePoint operations that used to mean manual work are now handled by an API. Surrounding systems connect to it without knowing the internals of Microsoft Graph, and the client's security requirements were met without compromise.
