Label Checker Multihead: machine vision
Challenge
Industrial cameras and readers are traditionally configured one at a time, and it is complicated. Yet reading QR codes and OCR on a production line or at an airport typically means several cameras over one spot, different angles and different layers of checks. The goal was a tool in which such a multi-camera installation can be assembled graphically.
Solution
A graphical editor for industrial readers and machine vision:
- QR code reading and OCR,
- working with several cameras at once (multihead),
- drawing layers and polygons, so areas of interest are defined directly over the image,
- an Angular frontend, device logic scripted in Lua, a GitLab CI/CD pipeline.

Result
Deployed where errors are not acceptable. The editor is used at airports to read baggage labels and in manufacturing for quality control on the line. Two environments, one platform for configuring machine vision.
